I think give her a few more months and she will be able to sing all the words. She loves singing. And she does good on the toons, she just can't get all the words out...yet. I love hearing her little sweet voice. It makes us all happy.
Created for family and friends since we are scattered so far apart, but still remain close at heart!

Rachey Video!
Rachel has started singing in her crib when she wakes up from a nap! It is wonderful! Today I got one of her just after she'd woken up. I don't know why I thought I would need to narrate it, so I'm sorry about my face at the beginning. It's not very good. ha. But the part of Rachel singing sure is! This may be one of my favorite videos of her yet!
I think she is just such a doll. She brings us so much joy!

Zane Leads Singing
Zane is still leading singing although it seems he may not be doing as much as before. But he usually gets inspired on Sunday afternoons after a morning of worship. The other day I got a couple good videos of him leading enthusiastically.
The second one you'll have to wait for it. He takes a long time to find his song, but it's a good one! And I think it's funny that he talks about how tired he is after he's done.

Walking!!!
Rachel is walking now! She's doing so well too! She's becoming more steady on her feet every day! I usually do not compare kids, but for some reason I remember when Zane started walking. She's walking about 3 weeks later than he did. Not bad at all! Go, Rachel, go!!!
She has also started singing with Zane. Today in Walmart, we just entertained (hopefully) everybody we went by with their songs. Some of these videos are of me trying to get Rachel to walk. Others are her hanging on to something.
Finally I catch her walking in this one! But it's at the very end...

Zane Sayings
Zane is at the stage where he imitates everything. It's pretty funny actually and last night during the devotional time for some reason he was pulling his pants up to his knees. "What is he doing?", I thought. I looked further down the pew and there sat a young man in his shorts. He almost always wears them but has recently started sitting on our pew. "Zane, let's pull down our pants." :)
One time we were coming home from Sargent and Zane took Rachel's purple mimi (blanket) away and she cried and screamed for a long time about that. Last night we were coming home from church and I had washed Zane's blankets and sheets yesterday but left one in the laundry room. I threw it on Rachel because I was in a hurry and didn't want to go get hers. Anyway, he noticed it coming home and asked, "Can I take my mimi away from Rachel and she will be cold?" "No, but thanks for asking, you can get it when we get home." And he didn't take it away! I was happy for that quiet ride home.
I still like how he says hangabers for hamburgers.
We made some homemade pizza Tuesday when Daddy was gone and he helped spread out his dough and put the cheese on it. But when I was doing mine and told him I was putting the cheese on, he realized that he doesn't like cheese and wanted it off his pizza. I avoided that somehow and got them cooked and then he didn't say anything more about it because it looked like right instead of raw dough and unmelted cheese. But he definitely did not want any cheese on his. :)
He still likes me teaching his Bible class. I know it won't be forever, but that's okay.
There is a song, I think the title is Beyond This Land of Parting, and the last words are oh, happy summer land of bliss. Zane sings it as oh happy Sunday morning Pray. :)

Zane Singing
This video is hilarious. It took Zane forever to actually sing his song and when he does, you will be surprised! :)

Pretty Day!
Rachel is a strong little girl! She is 8 weeks old today. She loves picking up her head and today she rolled over from her tummy to her back! She did that yesterday I think or the day before but I thought it was an accident. I need to see when Zane did this! Here is a video of her looking around yesterday. I have a video of her rolling over, but will have to post it another time.
This morning after breakfast, we had a singing session. Can you guess what the first song is?
Today we had such a pretty day here, so I decided that Zane would probably like going to the park! We have one that is suited for toddlers, so off we went. He is so much more independent than when I took him last time! When we got there, we were the only ones, but several others came to play and it seemed like he was interested in playing with them. One boy was there with maybe his Grandma and he talked to Zane and asked him how old he was and Zane answered. :)
When we got home, it was such a pretty day still that I decided that I needed to exercise! So, after getting Rachel fed and Zane to the potty, we headed out in the stroller. This is my second time out with them in my $15.00 garage sale purchase and I am so happy with it. Thanks, Jeffy, for getting it ready for us!

Our Summer Celebration
Jeff had the Independence Day holiday off of work and asked if I'd like to celebrate summer, so that we did! He got out the swimming pool, put up the umbrellas, and froze some icee pops. I ran to the store and got hotdogs! We celebrate big like that. :) We had a fun time yesterday and again today!
Zane took swimming lessons last summer and both of us can remember him loving the pool. We would push him through the water and he would laugh and squeal! This summer, it was a different story! He didn't want to even sit down in the water. He preferred to stand and would say "no, thank you!" when we'd ask him if he wanted to sit down. So, Jeff ran to the store and bought a smaller pool, but he still didn't care for it. Maybe next summer he will! He really liked digging and water plants dead or alive with his cups. :) He did get in the big pool with us, but he was very careful about what he did. :)
This was a couple days ago.
This next one is of Zane singing today. He is pretty creative and makes up songs with tunes he knows. Tonight it was about cantaloupe!
We got Zane a little slide for his birthday. It didn't take long, maybe a day, for him to climb up it!
The next video is of Zane counting his tractor tires. He and daddy did it over and over and over!

He's got a mouth full of blue icee pop! |
Yummy!!! He got to eat two! |
He loved his cubby spot under the table. He dug and dug and dug to his hearts content. |

House Update
This have been moving along with our fixer upper house!
This is some outside work that has been going on:
Inside the house, the framers came yesterday and did a super job opening up the kitchen wall and installing a beam. They also opened up the opening into the sunroom. It looks great!

I'm Happy!
Just the other day, we were listening to a cd of Zane's and he started stomping his feet with the words! It is so surprising to see him to new things. Enjoy!

Friday Night Singing
I had a really enjoyable night last night! We went to a singing at our congregation. They have them every Friday night in different towns and it goes through the summer. Since it was at ours, we decided to go! We sang for two hours and it sounded so good! I really enjoyed having a variety of song leaders. Each mostly led two songs-some were old men, and some were teenagers. It was great! What a great way to spend our evening-praising God! One of the songs that we sang was You Are the Words and the Music. Well, that might not be the title, but I thought it was a very fitting song. We also sang Salvation Has Been Brought Down, Lean On His Arm, I'll Fly Away, and tons more. I think the organizer of this likes to keep track of stuff and he said we sang 46 songs. There were 134 people there from about 14 congregations around the area! It was wonderful!
