We are moving into the new house!!! Last night was our first night and it was so wonderful! We all slept so good! We have been making trips with the trailer for a few evenings. Most nights I would get the kids ready for bed and clean up from supper while Jeff loaded and secured the trailer then we would come over here, put the kids to bed, unload, get the kids back in the car around 10 or 11 and go back to the old house. Yesterday, Jeff got some help and they were able to move the heavy furniture, couches, and beds. It feels wonderful to be making this house our home!
Created for family and friends since we are scattered so far apart, but still remain close at heart!

Trunk or Treat!
In the midst of the craziness that is currently our lives, our church was having her Trunk or Treat tonight. I didn't have Zane's costume ready, but we decided we could get it done this afternoon. And go buy candy. So, we did! I'm so glad we stayed. Zane had so much fun and it was great getting to visit. Jeff took him around the cars while Rachel and I manned our candy station. Zane did not want any candy and politely declined it and also the glow bracelets. We can only hope that he will dislike candy forever! But that's pretty unlikely. Now if they had been giving out animal crackers, he'd have been all over them!
By the way, Zane was a farmer with a John Deere tractor! And he loved it!
Enjoy the pictures.
This video is hilarious. :) Jeff said Zane was a little uncertain when they started, but you can tell he was not uncertain at the end!

Two Months Old!
This sweet girl is two months old today! She is such a good girl! Love her so much.
She is quite the cooer. :) She puts up with Zane's snuggling except when he takes her pacifier away...then it's waaaaah. Her hair is a little tamer than it was, she still loves her bath, and she is sleeping usually 3 to 4 hours in a row at night. She is also a fighter. Fights with her pacifier and her swaddle although she really loves them.

Snuggly in Jammies
The other morning I couldn't resist taking pictures of our kids since they were in their jammies and since I just found my camera.

Pretty Day!
Rachel is a strong little girl! She is 8 weeks old today. She loves picking up her head and today she rolled over from her tummy to her back! She did that yesterday I think or the day before but I thought it was an accident. I need to see when Zane did this! Here is a video of her looking around yesterday. I have a video of her rolling over, but will have to post it another time.
This morning after breakfast, we had a singing session. Can you guess what the first song is?
Today we had such a pretty day here, so I decided that Zane would probably like going to the park! We have one that is suited for toddlers, so off we went. He is so much more independent than when I took him last time! When we got there, we were the only ones, but several others came to play and it seemed like he was interested in playing with them. One boy was there with maybe his Grandma and he talked to Zane and asked him how old he was and Zane answered. :)
When we got home, it was such a pretty day still that I decided that I needed to exercise! So, after getting Rachel fed and Zane to the potty, we headed out in the stroller. This is my second time out with them in my $15.00 garage sale purchase and I am so happy with it. Thanks, Jeffy, for getting it ready for us!

Potty Training Edition
With the light at the end of the tunnel at the new house, I started to think about the beautiful new carpet and dreaded potty training that was in the future for Zane. I decided it would be better to leave puddles around the old house than puddles on the new carpet. So, Monday I started potty training. I had read several blogs on potty training in three days and thought that if it worked it would be worth it. But I doubted it would work and thought I'd have to quit and try again in 6 weeks because I didn't really know if Zane was ready. The link to the blog I read is here.
Oh I was dreading this so much, but Monday came and I was determined to at least try. The blog said to put them in underpants and set the timer every 15 minutes. Let me tell you, it was miserable. Absolutely miserable. It was like a constant stream of tinkle and none of it made it into the potty! I had decided that if he tried, he got a sticker, and if he actually did it, he got some chocolate chips. After absolutely no successes, he finally tooted accidentally in the potty and I decided that warranted chocolate chips. And we cheered and cheered and oh boy it was great. I'm pretty sure we went the whole day with no successes but it finally dawned on me that he was starting to have alarm on his face after he would wet his underpants! And when I asked him if he was wet he would say yes! Well, that was progress. He was at least understanding that he was wetting himself.
Tuesday also had little to no successes, but made progress because he started holding his tinkle! We still had accidents but he was dry a lot longer in between. I believe Tuesday had a whopping total of one success. And we made the most out of that success. I was sure he wasn't getting it and was just ready to quit, but since the blog said to do it three days, I didn't want to not follow instructions. I am not a quitter. But I sure wanted to be.
Wednesday I think we had three successes! And he woke up dry from his nap. Well, after those success, I decided I better keep at it. He went to Bible class in a diaper, but was dry.
Thursday we had a big outing to Walmart and I put a towel over his cart cover for him to sit on, but he made it! No accidents! I'm pretty sure we had an accident in the morning, but I can't remember.
Friday Jeff was out of town and I decided I would work at the new house some. Well, I had to put a diaper on him because I was so afraid he would have an accident. But we kept going to the bathroom and he stayed dry and had two successes at the new house. It was wonderful.
Saturday we had no accidents in the morning. For the first time he went without a diaper during rest time. And that was a mistake. But, when I went to get him, he informed me that he was wet! Again, that's progress. But, I decided that I didn't like cleaning everything and he will wear a diaper or pullups until he's dry for maybe a month straight.
Sunday I was nervous again about going to church, so he wore a diaper. I'm pretty sure he was dry and he went tinkle when we got home! Since Sunday night service is only an hour, he wore underpants and no accidents! He also went tinkle when we got home. He is getting better about going even when he says he doesn't have to go. We still need to go number 2 in the potty, but I'm feeling confident that we will get there.
Just for my reference, potty trained at 2 years, 3 months.

What a fun, fabulous weekend we had! We got to have two guests that are dear to my heart, Ellen and Terry! Zane had so much fun doing maitenance on his chain saw with Mr. Terry, and decorating his first pumpkin with Ms. Ellen. And Rachel enjoyed being held and loved on by both!
