9 Weeks

When will I stop posting about his weekly "birthdays"?  One day, will I be putting 46 Weeks or 129 Weeks Old?  Perhaps!  Anyway, our little son is 9 weeks old today!  We weighed him tonight and he came in at 12 pounds, 12 ounces!  He's a whopper!  :-)  Did I tell you that I've got a box labeled and in his room that I'm starting to put clothes in that he has outgrown?  I think I did.  Well, I have another one to add to it.  The cute little 'I love Hugs from Grandma' sleeves no longer reach his wrists!  Awwww....  But, I must say, I love the stage that he's in.  He's so cute when he lifts his head and has big eyes.  It'll just melt your heart!  Enough talking, Grandma wants pictures!!!  I know, cause I talked to one today that says she checks every day!  :-)
What's up?

He's a charmer!

Awww!

2 months!

Earlier this week, Zane turned 2 months old!  And of course, he got his picture taken!

He is not lacking in food!  :-)

Gotta squeeze those cheeks!

Boy, we went through a bunch of outfits!  Must have been a spit-up kind of day!  Happy 2 Months, Zane!

Night Night

Zane was soooo sleepy tonight.  He barely made it through our devotional because his eyes were soooo heavy.  I am supposed to be putting him in his crib while he's still awake, and although this picture shows his eyes closed, he did open them again when I wrapped him in his blanket.  But, I didn't hear a peep out of him as he drifted off.  (Happy sigh. :-))  I love him so much.
Wearing new pajamas.  His others are getting too short!

Daddy and Me

I love when Jeff holds Zane.  It is just too sweet.  Jeff was working on shortening my fishing rod and took a break to hold his baby.
He's wobbly, but he likes to sit up!

Awww.
Snuggles.

Backyard Surprises

This afternoon while Zane was napping, I took the monitor outside and watered our potted plants and filled our bird bath.  I decided to water some of our other flowers and noticed that there were red dots in our orange tree.  Jeff had told me about this before, but I hadn't checked it out.  They were tomatoes!  We have one plant that must have been planted by a bird and is growing under our orange tree.  It is so spindly, but really really tall!  It winds up in the orange tree and is taller than me!

I also noticed that one small branch was broken on our orange tree, so I cut off the rest of the way and cut the oranges to see what they were producing.  Last year, we had tons of oranges, but they were not good on the inside.  I was really happy to see that the first one I cut into was nice and juicy with good fruit.  I was disappointed on the next too.  It seems that they are more pithy and don't have as much good fruit.  We've decided that if the fruit doesn't make, it's off with it's head!  I really hope it produces good fruit!  I would love to have fresh oranges.

Sweetness

I just love this face.  Love the chubby cheeks, and the double chin.  :-)  It makes my heart happy to look at him when he's so peaceful.

Cutie

8 Weeks Old

Yesterday Zane was 8 weeks old!  I can't believe he's almost 2 months old.  He is just changing and growing so much.  He's holding up his head so much better, and just all in all becoming more active.  He's starting cooing and smiling so much more than before!
One ready, one not.

The other ready, the other not!  :-)

Just So Cute!

Don't you just want to kiss on this little face?!  I do!  And I kiss on him all the time!  He's so sweet!  After a diaper change today, he was feeling so good, I got to see him smile a bunch!  It is so hard though to get pictures of them!  He is continually moving!  So, these are some of the clear ones that came out.  Some of his smiles were bigger, and this is on the tail end of them.  Still so cute!  He is so loveable!

He has discovered his tongue!

Almost 8 weeks old!

So loveable!

Strolling buddies

I ordered a stroller netting to Zane so we could go on walks and be bug free!  I tried it out for the first time this morning and it seemed to work great!  We didn't make it too far and Zane was vibrated to sleep, so I guess it was a successful walk!  :-)

Sweet smile yesterday

Grandparents are just GREAT!

My mom and dad came to visit Zane this weekend!  It was great seeing them love on Zane!  My dad didn't to hold him, but Jeff just put him in his arms.  And it went just fine...until Zane spit up on him!  hehe!  So, I rescued dad and all was well.

Jeff took Dad shark fishing and they had a great day, and Mom and I ran around town almost all morning and into the afternoon!  We did have to come home to feed Zane, but then we went right back out again!  It was so much fun!!!  I haven't been out and about that much since before Zane was born.  :)

This is how I got things done around the house.  Works great!

Dad and Mom cooing at Zane.

"This is the way the gentleman rides..."

So attentive to grandma!

Are We There Yet?

This weekend, Zane took his first road trip!  We were nervous because he can really get loud in the car coming home from church sometimes, so we didn't know how two hours would be.  I'm happy to report that he did great.  He slept for maybe an hour, and then when he woke up, I had to keep reaching back there to put the pacifier back in his mouth.  It was fine though.  We brought a ton of stuff to the grandparent's house in Sargent, and come to find out, I need to bring even more shirts!  If we would have had one more huge spit-up session, I would have had to wear one of Jeff's shirts!  You never know what will happen with a baby!

After evening services on Sunday, our tradition is to go to DQ with John and Janie before heading home and we decided to continue it!  It was also a success because he slept through the whole thing.  Then, he slept all the way home, once again proving that there is no need for worry in my life.  :)
Grandma got to babysit Zane!

After services Sunday.  Zane is 6 weeks old!

Contraption

I read in a baby 411 book that I have about how to stimulate your baby developmentally.  They said that from about 2 to 4 months they should be batting stuff, eventually able to grab stuff and suggested an activity gym.  Well, we don't have one, so I decided that I would just use what we had!  :-)  He didn't really bat at it, but he did look at it.  I'm going to change the things that he can look at every so often!

Two stools and a yardstick!!!

Legs are going!

New Walking Buddy!

Zane is my little walking buddy now!  This morning we went out for a little exercise and he did great.  It seemed like he really liked kicking and waving his arms all around in the breeze.  We talked about all sorts of things...the birds, the bumps, tall grass that needs to be mowed...and we saw someone from church!

Here we are:

Me and my buddy at 6 weeks!
Thanks, Cassie, for the cute hat!  It shaded his head really well!
