Yesterday I tried making two new recipes! One was a bread recipe that I made in the breadmaker and shaped over custard cups. It was really fun to make. Then, I made chili to go with them! And yes, it is a sweat box outside. Definitely not chili weather, but OH WELL! :)
Chili recipe-I found it online and made changes!
1 pound lean ground beef
1 can chili beans in medium sauce
1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes with juice
1 can rotel
1/2 can tomato paste
1/2 large yellow onion, chopped
1 1/2 stalks celery, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 poblano pepper, seeded and chopped
1 1/2 t bacon chopped
2 cubes beef bouillon
2 T chili powder
1 1/2 t Worchestershire sauce
1 1/2 t minced garlic
1 1/2 t dried oregano
1 t ground cumin
1 t hot pepper sauce (Louisiana Hot Sauce)
1/2 t dried basil
1/2 t salt
1/2 t ground black pepper
1/2 t cayenne
1/2 t paprika
1/2 t white sugar
Shredded cheddar cheese
It takes quite a bit of time to get everything in, but it was great. I'm looking forward to the leftovers after the seasonings have blended some more.
