Scrub a dub dub!

Bathtime has changed around here!  Rachel has graduated to the big tub and Zane and Rachel like taking baths together!  It's been great because Zane is more eager to take a bath now!  And Rachel loves playing with all the toys!  So far so good!

Rachel's Bathtime

Last night was a big night for Rachel!  She graduated from the bath sling to a bath shelf in her blue bathtub!  She liked baths before and now she loves them!  She kicked her legs so much and had so much fun moving around.  The bath sling made it to where she couldn't really move and she's gotten so big that it just scrunched her up in there.  Now that she has freedom, she wiggles a lot!

The water feels so good, except at first she was holding both legs up in the air!

Rachel's umbilical cord fell off and she now gets to take a "real" bath!  No more sponge baths!  Let me tell you, she loves the warm water!  It makes her feel really good I think.

Just recently, Zane has started playing while he takes a bath!  I am just amazed that one day he doesn't do something and the next day he does.  God made each day with a growing baby interesting!  Here are some recent bath time pictures.

Big Boy Bath

I've noticed that Zane was getting pretty squished in his little infant net in his bathtub.  So, I decided it was the day to get out the insert that snaps in the tub to help babies sit up.  The instructions were there and they said the infant net should only be used up to 10 pounds!  Oops!  Guess we missed that information.  No wonder he was squished!  :-)  Here he is ready for his bath.  He didn't want to put his hands in the water at first.  But, he did splash his feet in the water!

I decided to try giving the little feller his bath early tonight!  We'll see how that effects his bedtime later!  I just love his combed hair.  :)  It smells good too!

Ahhhh!  Sometimes you are just so happy and thankful.  I just have to brag on my wonderful Jeff.  I tell you what, motherhood is hard.  The hardest thing I've encountered is not getting enough sleep!  After a while, it wears on a soul.  Yesterday after church services, Jeff cleaned up the dishes, and sent me to bed to sleep.  I got to sleep for three hours!  It's amazing how your outlook can be more positive after some rest.  But it doesn't end there!  After evening services, he cleaned up supper AGAIN, and when I came out of the shower, he had Zane and was giving him a bath!  It was so nice.  He takes such good care of us, and I am so thankful for him!  I hope everyone has someone in their life that makes them laugh and smile like Jeff does for me!

Squeaky clean!

I love how Zane smells after his bath!  The bath itself is not pleasant, but afterwards we have a baby smeared with baby lotion and sweet smelling hair!
