Today I went and registered at the hospital for the delivery of our baby!!!!!! Say what? Yep, I can't believe it either. The time dragged for the first half, but now it seems to be flying! And that's okay with me! The registration lady was astounded at our insurance-she told me to go home and kiss my husband because it was so good! We are both very thankful for it! I also got a list of education classes which I need to look into, and a list of suggested items to pack when I got to the hospital!!! I also had to fill in names of people that could be there waiting for the delivery. Only five people are allowed to wait! So, if you're my husband or one of the four grandparents, you're in luck! If not, you'll be able to visit and see him. :)

My cute free green bag that I got for registering! Just what I needed-another bag! :) |
Wow, your hospital does it early. I think we had to be about 32 weeks before they'd let us register. I just did mine yesterday and I'm almost 39 weeks... oops :)
ReplyDeleteI *highly* recommend the book "Natural Childbirth The Bradley Way." Even if you're not necessarily planning on going natural, it teaches you everything that is going on in your body, and how to handle it. Even if you're planning on having an epidural, you'll have some contractions before, and it's good to know how to relax so that they're not painful. Also, for nursing, "The Nursing Mother's Companion" is the best.
Also, good insurance is SUCH a blessing. We paid over $3,000 for Lily's birth, but for Goo the grand total was $150. Nice!
Thanks for the recommendations Alyson! Those books sound great and it's nice to have some insight from someone with experience! I hope things go really easy with your third child! I keep looking for updates on facebook! :)
