My wonderful first born is 4 years old!!!!!! I remember his birth like it was yesterday! I guess every mother does. I am so proud of him and his little self. He is the best boy! Snuggles, kisses, lovies, and hugs. He still likes to be sung to and held. He will always be my baby!
We celebrated early. I wanted one celebration this year instead of drawing it out. Of course, we will have chocolate chip cookies, per his request, today. But, we've already done the cake and presents. His grandma, grandad, and uncle were able to come and celebrate. We missed those who couldn't be here, but we had a great time.
Enjoy the pictures!

June has flown by. I was supposed to have a bunch of posts! I feel bad, but I just don't know where the time has gone. My first born is about to be four. Now where has that time gone? I was thinking that I thought I lived in Midland a long time, but I've been married to Jeff longer than I lived there, and have almost had Zane that long! Life must be good because it's gone by fast!
Here is a glimpse into our lives:
Eating cheerios with milk for the first time!
Tractoring
Wetting the sidewalk chalk and drawing with it.
I should have cropped myself out, but she's just so cute.
Soaking wet-the way they like it!
She makes a mess, but I love to hear her sing devo songs!
Rachel at the water table:
No more competition for the Big Wheel since Zane has a tractor now. And she loves that! Here she is singing our Bay City song we made up:
Rachel has started saying prayers. Be still my heart. I love it. It usually goes something like this: Our Father, Our Father, Our Father, Our Father, Amen!
Like I mentioned in the above picture, Rachel likes to take all the devo stuff out and go through them. I took a short video and a very very long video of her doing it.
Zane ran out of juice in his tractor yesterday. I tried to get a video, but he was riding on it standing up pushing the pedal trying to make it go. It got slower and slower and slower until it just stopped. I had to push him again to get to the side walk so he could go to the charging station we have for him. This video doesn't show much, but I thought it was comical how he was riding it.
I think give her a few more months and she will be able to sing all the words. She loves singing. And she does good on the toons, she just can't get all the words out...yet. I love hearing her little sweet voice. It makes us all happy.
Seriously. We let our son have a battery operated tractor and trailer. I thought I would never let him have one, but we can't resist free and delivered. The giver was a going into 3rd grade boy who goes to our church. His grandmother and pops had given it to him and he had outgrown it. And when his grandmother suggested giving it to someone, he thought of Zane. It was really nice of him. They delivered it yesterday afternoon and I can only imagine how many miles Zane's already driven in it. He loves it so much and is so busy with all his work-mowing, hay baling, tractoring, you name it, this tractor does it.
Here are some videos. The trailer is off in the videos, but it's now back on. He had to wait until Daddy got off of work to fix it.
I hope Jeff had a good time celebrating his birthday yesterday! Zane, Rachel and I had fun decorating and playing with balloons, and trying to make his day special!
We love you, Daddy!!!
Birthday supper!
Birthday pie! Mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cookie crust!
Rachey said, picture please! She did not want green ice cream-no thank you.
And then last but not least, Zaneo who also forgot he liked mint chocolate chip ice cream!
