Videos

Here is another post that was in my draft file, but I'm pretty sure I published this one.  Zane is so little and cute!  Rachey wasn't even born yet!  It was dated 1-12-14!

Here are three Zane videos that were taken by my new camera in HD.  Enjoy!

I'm not sure when in the sequence this was taken, it may have been before the previous two.  Enjoy!

18 Months!

Wow, Rachel is a year and a half today!!!  Only 6 more months until we get to have a celebration for a big 2 year old!!!  She is such a joy.  A princess, a precious, a sugar plum, a kissable snuggly wonderful girl!!!!!!!!
She had her well check today and she grew 1 1/2 inches since the beginning of December!!!  I knew her pants were getting too short.  Along with some shirts.  I need to clean out her closet!  So, her length is 31 1/2 inches (46%), 22 lbs. 12 ounces (27%), head 18 1/8 inches (36%).  She is just perfect!  So healthy and happy!!!

The whole time I was taking the pictures above she was saying, 'Uh oh!', which is what she says when she wants something.  In this case, please put these back together mom!  Uh oh!  :)

Just for fun here are a couple pictures of Zane at 18 months!

Well Check

This morning, Zane went in for his 18 month well check.  He sure doesn't liked being looked over!  It is the end of the world!  But, I can totally understand it.  Some stranger peering into your ears and in your mouth while you sit in your diaper must not be very pleasant.  He was a good boy though and made it through.  He also got three shots today and the good news is that he doesn't have to have any more vaccines until he is 4 years old!  That seems like a long ways away!

The doctor said he was average for his height and his weight was in the 36th percentile.  She was happy with how he is doing and we are thankful for a healthy boy!

Zane's language just really seems to be coming along.  He can say a bunch of words...ready, go, home, daddy, mommom, ball, wawa, and lots of other words I can't remember.  He has also started counting.  I was putting drops of honey on each piece of biscuit he had and he said ooooone, two!, and that's all he knows, but he's working on three.  He loves saying two the best and that's how old he wants to be.  I ask him how old he is and he just looks at me, so I say one! and he shakes he head and says two!  :)

He is in love with anything with a motor.  He loves, loves, loves lawnmowers-brrrrrum, brrrrrum!  And then he points to the backyard and wants us to go start the mower.  He also still loves the vacuum cleaner and is so happy when it's out and running.  Yesterday I was vacuuming and told him I needed to move the cord, but I got distracted and was texting Jeff.  Well, here he comes over and starts to unplug the cord!  It's also so sad when the vacuum has to go back into the closet.  We have to tell it bye-bye, and touch it and then be so sad when the door is closed.  He sure does like it!  Maybe I should start teaching him how to vacuum!  One of my friends said that the willingness to help disappears when they are 9 years old, so I need to take advantage of it while I can, right?

He is a really good boy.  We just love him so much.  He could fold his hands when we prayed, but now he wants to hold our hands.  I love it.  All three of us hold hands when we pray at the table.  It's so sweet.  He also has started to sing, and yesterday did very well saying the "yes!" in Jesus loves me!  He also likes to direct the songs, especially in church.  He waves his arm and then points to whomever is looking at the song leader.  I also have an old songbook on the table by the couch and he loves for me to get it and sit with him and sing and wave my arm.  He leads too and loves to turn the pages.

Hope y'all all have a great day!

Catching Up

We have had a really nice week.  Yesterday, Zane and I went to a young mother's luncheon and he got to play with his friends.  I didn't take any pictures, unfortunately, but we were both a fan of an awesome bean dip.  My friend shared the recipe.
Awesome Bean Dip
1 can pinto beans, drained
1 can refried beans
1 can rotel, drained
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon oregano
Bake in the oven until hot and top with cheese.

We've also had a cold spell (only two days, but hey, it's South Texas).  Several neighborhoods are without power, so we are thankful we have heat!

Eating quiche this morning.  I said, "Say, cheese!", so he started blinking at me!

Zane sure loves his tat.  That's ketchup for those of you who don't speak toddler.  :)  He needs lots of tat when he eats his veggie patties.

We ordered something online and they had a sale, so we had six dollars left on our gift card that we needed to use up.  The only thing on the whole website that was less than six dollars was a kids hat on sale!  So, Zane got himself a free hat!  He modeled it for us yesterday.

I guess Zane wanted to be snuggly this morning because he wanted his mimi (blanket) wrapped around him.  It could have also been because I was washing his other mimis and he needed a mimi right then!
There he goes!  Mommom's little supperman!

Y'all have a great day today!

The Piano Man

A few days ago, I mentioned that Zane got to play with a Christmas present from his great aunt and uncle.  It is a large piano mat.  He had a lot of fun playing and now that I know how to post videos, you get to see it too!

Y'all have a great day!!!

Videos

I have been having trouble uploading my videos and tonight, my loving and patient husband, Jeff, helped me learn something new!  I started uploading my videos to youtube and then learned how to embed them in my blog.  The videos are unlisted, so the only way that you will be able to see them is to follow the link on my blog.  I think it works great.  The only thing I am not thrilled about is the pictures that come up after the video has played.  These are links to other videos on youtube, not Zane videos.  If you would like to view the Zane video again, just click on the arrow that goes around in a circle (repeat) and it will play it again, or you can just refresh your page to get it back the way it was originally.  The good news is that people with apple products will be able to view them on their iphone or ipad!  (I'll take payment in diapers!--just kidding)  If you have any concerns, please let me know.

Here are some videos from my new camera in HD that I haven't been able to post before.  Enjoy!

Yane!

Zane has started saying his own name!  And since he can't say his Zs yet, he says Yane!!!  It is so cute and wonderful to hear him say it.  He identifies himself in pictures too!

Zane is also a great helper.  We put up the laundry together.  He can put up his bibs, his burp clothes, his washclothes, and now his towels!
Isn't that precious?
He also has been enjoying one of his Christmas presents, his big dump truck.

Anniversary Lunch Early

Sunday after worship, we went to Olive Garden to celebrate our 4th anniversary early!!!  It was sooo delicious and we both cleaned our plates!  I was surprised that Zane didn't want to try my cheese ravioli, but I wasn't too heartbroken that I didn't have to share.  :)
My handsome boys in their matching ties!

Zane got lots of compliments for his cuteness.  :)

Not of fan of Malt-O-Meal

I saw on facebook that a mom that had a son my age fed him Malt-O-Meal and he loved it!  She had smiling pictures and everything of that cute boy.  So, I thought, "Great, I'm going to try it with Zane!"

I bought it and made us each a bowl because I knew he wasn't a fan of trying new things.  Ooooh, let me tell you, there was much wailing and "Mamamamamamamamamama!"   We tried quite a few bites and it just did not get any better, so this Mamamamamama gave in!  I ate my bowl of Malt-O-Meal and he got a waffle!
MUCH Happier!

Old News

This has happened several times lately when I go to get him up from his nap.

Happy New Year!

We had a really nice New Years Day.  We got to meet my parents in San Antonio for lunch.  I was really happy that Zane took to his Grandma D again really quickly.  It was the second time too that Zane got to eat off my plate at the restaurant inside Bass Pro.  He had apple, chicken, and bread.  It was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had.  After that, we got to walk around and look at the live fish, stuffed lions, elk, and lots of other animals.  I think Zane enjoyed it and I really enjoyed seeing my parents.

1 1/2 Years Old!

It isn't possible, is it?  Our beautiful son is 1 1/2 years old today!  What a blessing he is to us.  We love him soooooooo much.  This is a picture I took of him in Bible class today!  He loves to learn about God and Jesus and sing songs.

Thank You, God, for Zane!!!

Christmas, Christmas, Wonderful Christmas

2013 Christmas is in the books!  What a fun time with family.  We are so blessed to have a loving family that loves each other and wants to spend time with one another!  Our precious Zane did a great job and had fun playing with his toys.  He didn't always want to open a gift, but he did like tearing the paper off.  :)  Zane's great grandmother, Louise, came by airplane all the way by herself.  She is so brave and everything went smoothly with her flight.  It was so good to see her and visit with her.  Janie did an awesome job planning and preparing the food and playing with Zane!  Aunt Susan made outstanding pies and a wonderful upside down pineapple cake.  Uncle Travis is now known as "T" by Zane, and Zane really took to Uncle Dick.  He made him smile and smile and read books with him.  Zane gave Granddad a hug all by himself and got lots of tickles from Da.  :)

Here are just a few pictures from the wonderful day.  There may be another picture post when I go through more pictures.
