Well Check

This morning, Zane went in for his 18 month well check.  He sure doesn't liked being looked over!  It is the end of the world!  But, I can totally understand it.  Some stranger peering into your ears and in your mouth while you sit in your diaper must not be very pleasant.  He was a good boy though and made it through.  He also got three shots today and the good news is that he doesn't have to have any more vaccines until he is 4 years old!  That seems like a long ways away!

The doctor said he was average for his height and his weight was in the 36th percentile.  She was happy with how he is doing and we are thankful for a healthy boy!

Zane's language just really seems to be coming along.  He can say a bunch of words...ready, go, home, daddy, mommom, ball, wawa, and lots of other words I can't remember.  He has also started counting.  I was putting drops of honey on each piece of biscuit he had and he said ooooone, two!, and that's all he knows, but he's working on three.  He loves saying two the best and that's how old he wants to be.  I ask him how old he is and he just looks at me, so I say one! and he shakes he head and says two!  :)

He is in love with anything with a motor.  He loves, loves, loves lawnmowers-brrrrrum, brrrrrum!  And then he points to the backyard and wants us to go start the mower.  He also still loves the vacuum cleaner and is so happy when it's out and running.  Yesterday I was vacuuming and told him I needed to move the cord, but I got distracted and was texting Jeff.  Well, here he comes over and starts to unplug the cord!  It's also so sad when the vacuum has to go back into the closet.  We have to tell it bye-bye, and touch it and then be so sad when the door is closed.  He sure does like it!  Maybe I should start teaching him how to vacuum!  One of my friends said that the willingness to help disappears when they are 9 years old, so I need to take advantage of it while I can, right?

He is a really good boy.  We just love him so much.  He could fold his hands when we prayed, but now he wants to hold our hands.  I love it.  All three of us hold hands when we pray at the table.  It's so sweet.  He also has started to sing, and yesterday did very well saying the "yes!" in Jesus loves me!  He also likes to direct the songs, especially in church.  He waves his arm and then points to whomever is looking at the song leader.  I also have an old songbook on the table by the couch and he loves for me to get it and sit with him and sing and wave my arm.  He leads too and loves to turn the pages.

Hope y'all all have a great day!
Amy
