Day 11-Mountain Goats and Sledding! + MOOSE!!!!!!
Wow, we saw real live mountain goats today!!! It was so cool that we turned around, went down and stopped for a short time on the road. Then we had to punch it because a oil tanker was coming up behind us! It was so cool! Both kids saw them really well! They were so cool!
After the mountain goats, we went on up to Loveland pass to our personal sledding spot. Alot of the snow had melted, but we still had plenty as you can see! It was also so much colder than it was the time before that we went. The wind was howling! I have no idea what the wind chill was but it was really cold. We also saw and talked with a man that was skiing off the mountain. It was so cool and Zane wants to learn to ski now.
Rachel did good playing in the snow the whole time. Jeff put tape around their boots and gloves so help prevent snow from getting in. It worked great!
Daddy and Zane did the most sledding.
Our skier friend. Off he goes.
There he is up on the ridge. He said he's from Colorado and does it all...rock climbing, skiing, and mountain biking.
We went home over Loveland Pass so that we could go through the Eisenhower tunnel. Wow, it's amazing. It's so long! It goes right through the mountain!
After we exit, it's down hill from there.
The road signs showed alot of concern for truckers!
Back in town!
Jeff just went out on the balcony and came back sputtering and gasping because there was a moose RIGHT by our balcony laying down. He said that the moose looked at him and then got up and Jeff looked at him and came and got us! It was an amazing sight! The kids loved watching him!
It was cold outside! We were caught unawares by the moose!
She wanted me to take her picture and a video saying moose. Those blue eyes will melt your heart!
So neat to be so close to a moose!!
