Visit From Grandma

This last week we got a visit from Grandma D!  Jeff was gone out of state because his uncle passed away, so Grandma came to keep us company.  I would have loved to go with Jeff, but there was just no way that was happening.

We had a great time with my mom!  She got here on Monday at noon, we ate lunch and then got to have a nice long visit while the kids were asleep.  After they got up, we went shopping!  And we went to eat at Chick-fil-a!  Zane and Grandma D both had chocolate milk!  I think Rachel would have liked to have chocolate milk.  I'm pretty sure that's what her screeches were trying to tell me.  :)

We tried to go outside after that, but Zane wasn't feeling well, and it was hot.  So we packed up everything that we took out and headed back inside for baths and bed.

Tuesday we headed out for a quick stop at Lowe's and then back home so Rachey girl could take her nap.  Then we read books until we were hoarse, ate hotdogs for lunch, and made cinnamon rolls!  Yum!

Zane was sad to see Grandma D leave on Wednesday, but I am really glad that she got to come!  One comment she made that I thought was funny was, "It sure is busy around here!"

Since Dada was gone Sunday night, I bribed Zane in sitting through worship with Sonic afterwards.  Thankfully, very thankfully, our wonderful neighbor man came and took Zane up to sit with him.  I could not have done it without him!  And this is the toy he got with his kids meal.

Our Zane before bed.

She has done such a good job drinking from her bottle...twice.  The rest of the time she hasn't wanted it. Big sigh.

We picked the smallest ripe cantaloupe I've ever seen from our garden.  It tasted pretty good.

My 2XL shirt from my dad.  Thanks Dad for thinking of me!

If I just get my teeth right, maybe the lid will come off.

Got them corralled!
Reading his book from his kids meal.

Look at that face!!

Zane doesn't have the swing of a swing down, but Grandma's trying to help him.

Can't really tell, but she's lifting her foot off the grass.  She does not like it.  And it's hot.

Reading from Grandma's Bible.  He was so happy to touch it.  And Mr. Hutt's on Sunday night.  He said, "I got to touch Mr. Hutt's Bible!"

Cinnamon rolls that needed a little bit more room to rise!

Painting with Grandma D!
Zane and Grandma's picture.

Daddy's home!!!!

Whee!  Dada's home!!!

As clear as I could get of Zane!
