Rachey Girl

Rachey Girl is just doing soooo good!  She's almost a year old!  I can't believe it!  In just 12 more days we will have a one year old!  We are going to have her big party next weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.  I can't wait to see her eat her smash cake.  She is going to love it!!!

Funny story-I decided to give our little pumpkin some little chocolate donut crumbs.  Well, smart girl, the next time we got out the package, she went wild with excitement.  Well, I couldn't help myself and gave her more donut crumbs!  Shame on me, right??!  As you can guess, I'd created a monster!  She didn't want a cheerio, she wanted DONUTS!!!  Oh boy!  That was a learning time for Mama!!!

I've started weaning her.  Oh it was so sad at first for both of us.  I think she would keep nursing for a long time, but as much as I want her to stay little, I also want her to be learning to be independent.  So, right now we are down to two feedings.  I think she's doing great, but I know she's not drinking as much from her sippy cup as she was nursing, so I decided to try a straw!  I tell you what, up that milk went in that straw!  It was great!  She drank a bunch!  And today she did the same thing!  I am really happy about that!

Her top teeth have come in!!!  She's REALLY going to be able to eat her cake!  :)  :)

She knows what a Bible is!!!  Ba-ba!

She likes to go into her room and find her pacifier on the floor that she's dropped during her nap.  She comes out with it in her mouth.  :)

She drank from a bottle twice, but then stopped and seemed to like the sippy cup.
