Big Boy Bed

Wow, I can't believe that today is the end of May. We are almost halfway through the year and I can't believe that my girl is 9 months old and my boy is going to be 3 next month! 3!

After worship today, Jeff set up Zane's bed frame for his room. I thought it was time-we have had him sleeping on the mattress, but no frame-and he hasn't fallen out of bed so far. He is so happy with it! It looks great too. Thanks, Daddy!

Checking it out

Watching the show!

Zane loves stories about Dada and Uncle T.  So they had to reenact a picture of Jeff and T.

So excited watching Zane jump around

Trying out the new bed!

Kisses before rest time from Daddy!

Pics of Little People

Happy to be eating a donut!

Busy girl talking on the phone.

Look, two pigs! :)  See above picture.
The cutest saying that Zane has said very recently is..."Kiss me on my smile!"  He has asked for that two nights in a row and he gets lots of kisses all around, but not on his smile!  I know lots of people that kiss their kids on the lips, but I'm just not one of them!  And he seemed okay with it.  :)  After I explained that I kiss him on the cheek and he kisses me on the cheek, he decided that would do and got really close and said "ready, set, (kiss!)"  It was very tickly because he was right against my cheek when he said it!  :) :) :)

Baby Kumquats

Kumquats are growing!!  I am so excited!  Earlier in the year our family went to Victoria Educational Gardens and found a kumquat tree that had just lost some fruit.  A volunteer at the garden said that we could take some but she didn't think they would grow!  Well, Zane planted them and here they are!  I may not have a garden that is making it this year, but these are!

New Project

Scrape, scrape, scrape!  I have a new respect for those who work in manual labor field.  It is really hard work!  And it takes a lot of time to make good progress.  I have a ways to go, but a little at a time and it will get done!  So, maybe you will get to see a completed picture this time next year!

9 Months Old

I took Rachel to get her well check today.  I think she's a healthy girl.  She weighs 18 pounds, is 26 1/2 inches long and her head is 17 1/2 inches in diameter.  She's very happy and social.  I need to remember that every child is different and just because she isn't yet doing the things the doctor thinks she should be doing doesn't mean I am doing anything wrong or that something is wrong with her.  She is in about the 25th percentile with her weight and height and the 64th percentile for head size.  She is a beautiful girl and I look forward to her pulling up, crawling, etc when she's ready!!

Rachel is a funny little girl.  The other day she started growling-literally grrrr-in worship services.  I couldn't figure out what in the world she was doing!  I finally realized that she was running her lawnmower just like Zane does!  Little copycat loves her brother!  :)

Memorial Day Weekend

We got to go see our family in Sargent this weekend and had a wonderful time!  It was supposed to rain all weekend, but I don't think we had any rain during the day!  We did have a big storm, but the kids didn't even wake up for it.  I was relieved of that.

Janie tried new recipes and they were all delicious.  Zane spent the majority of the time riding on the Ranger!  He had the best time watching boats, feeding deer, and checking everything out with granddada.

Happy Grandparents, and happy kids!

Jeff and I went on our third date since children to Lake Jackson!  We really appreciate grandma Janie and Granddada watching our kids.  We ate at a restraunt and Jeff had a donut burger (one whole donut on each side of a beef pattie with bacon and cheese.) and I had a french dip sandwich.  He said it was a one time try.  The fries were homemade and wonderful!  Then we split a fried cheesecake dessert!!  That is a place you can't go to very often!  :)

Pretty dessert and really good too!

With my best friend in the whole world!  Love you Jeffy!
