Our Weekend
We had a great weekend! It was very relaxing and uneventful. Just like we like. Rachel supervised some cookie making on Friday afternoon before Zane got up from his nap. She also got to play without anyone telling her what to do! Little sister likes to be with big brother and can follow him and try to do what he's doing. He doesn't always like that! In fact, he probably never likes it! haha!
We have lots of snuggles and fun reading one night before bed. Dada read "Corduroy" to Zane and I caught the end of it because Zane loves to nuzzle noses. :)
She looks like a big girl here.
I am happy to report that I have some produce growing in my garden!
Three little zucchinis are growing. We got a bunch more rain yesterday,
so I hope they survive. It has been a very wet year. Jeff said that
we have gotten 23 inches total since the beginning of the year. I
believe our drought is over!
I also went outside to find that Dada had made an awesome umbrella stand! Jeff uses an umbrella to give Zane some shade for his sandbox and now it won't blow over and can be moved anywhere!
Enjoying some shade!
I got to go to two garage sales and found some awesome finds, but the winner of it all was this red plate. I've wanted one for a long time (off and on when I see one) and I found it for $1.00! One store I looked up is selling them for about $47.00! I am enjoying having some family traditions, so this will be one that we use for birthdays and other special occasions! And it's made in Germany!
She does look like a big girl in that picture!
