Muddy Puddles!

Lately we've been reading Peppa Pig books and one of them is about muddy puddles.  There is a big rain and Peppa is exciting about playing in them.  Well, we had rain a couple weeks ago now and that is exactly what Zane wanted to do; play in muddy puddles.  So we found a nice little area with standing water and I just let them dig in.  Oh wow, did they enjoy themselves.  Talk about a soggy muddy Rachey diaper.  haha.

Matthonians

We've had a visiting preacher in recent weeks that is very animated and happy.  Zane has said that he is his favorite preacher.  And he has really had some great lessons lately.  Zane will just look up at me and grin because he really likes watching him.  Today, if you have time, you can watch a very long video of Zane as he preaches and Rachel as she leads songs.  I had just emptied my phone so I had the storage space and just kept recording.  And by the way, the scripture is taken from Matthonians. :)

Busy kids

We mostly have a routine around here which is why you aren't getting alot of commentary.  But, no one complains about pictures, so here are some!
Sometimes you get so tuckered out that you just have to lay down on the driveway and rest.

Pretty girl!

Still love wagon rides.

She is really turning into a bookworm lately! I am happy to see that.

At least Mama's smiling!

I've been getting them to hold hands.  I love it.

Haha-the digger was empty!  Quick get on!

Playing at the park

Rachel is at the stage of playing with rocks!

She went down the slide once.  She wanted to play in the rocks.  :)

Zane learned to pedal!!!

Wonder of wonders yesterday, Zane started pedaling his big wheel!!!!  I am so excited for him and so happy and proud!  We've asked him over and over to pedal, try, can you reach?, you can do it, but he wanted to do it in his own time.  Yesterday, something clicked and it was, look Mom, I'm pedaling!  And he was great at it!

Woohoo!!! The driveway is perfect for riding.  He has plenty of room.  Rachel wanted in on the action, so I set her on the little big wheel and she is only a couple inches from being able to reach the pedals.  Maybe by the time she's two, she'll be pedaling around with big brother!

Just Me and Rachey

This morning, I sent Zane over to our neighbors with six piping hot blueberry muffins and told him to give them to our neighbors and come home.  So, I watched him cross the yard, ring the doorbell, and...go inside!  And two and a half hours later, he's still over there!  :)  I did call to make sure it was okay and our neighbor lady said, "he's eating a muffin and drinking some milk!"  Muffins and milk always taste better at the neighbors because I made him chocolate milk this morning and he drank about two drinks!  :)  And she said it made their day!

So, Rachel and I have had the morning to ourselves, so we went outside to play and water trees.  I love her so much.  She is so confident and knows what she wants (most of the time.)  Then, she took a nap and I cleaned the bathrooms!

Peach bloom that go away from me.  We are picking them so more effort will go into the tree itself.

Flowers nodding! (A song from Bible class.)

She is much better at holding hands now.

Off she goes, swinging her arm!

Such pretty curls.

Here she comes to see me with two cups of tea!

We saw a huge bee enjoying our flowers!

18 Months!

Wow, Rachel is a year and a half today!!!  Only 6 more months until we get to have a celebration for a big 2 year old!!!  She is such a joy.  A princess, a precious, a sugar plum, a kissable snuggly wonderful girl!!!!!!!!
She had her well check today and she grew 1 1/2 inches since the beginning of December!!!  I knew her pants were getting too short.  Along with some shirts.  I need to clean out her closet!  So, her length is 31 1/2 inches (46%), 22 lbs. 12 ounces (27%), head 18 1/8 inches (36%).  She is just perfect!  So healthy and happy!!!

The whole time I was taking the pictures above she was saying, 'Uh oh!', which is what she says when she wants something.  In this case, please put these back together mom!  Uh oh!  :)

Just for fun here are a couple pictures of Zane at 18 months!
