Hello again! November 2019

It's time to catch up on my blog!  Sometimes I think why, it's been so long, but that's the way it goes!

Zane was into Charlie Brown.  I checked out the complete comic strips of Snoopy from the library.
It's fun looking back over pictures.  We came up one weekend near the beginning of November.  Fall is beautiful in Leakey.  Jeff had just gotten back from a work trip and had gotten the kids some fun craft/science kits.
Aoudad sheep came in that morning!

Rachey got a pottery wheel!

And Zane a science experiement kit!

Setting up the new protein feeder.

Yep, it's coming out daddy!!!

Found aoudad horns! 2 sets!

Monday was my birthday and also Veterans Day.  The kids had school off but Jeff had to work, so my mom went with us to the Veterans Day parade!  Our first time!

He loved all the army stuff!

We were maybe the first house in our town to put our Christmas lights up!  We put them up before Thanksgiving!!! It was wonderful!!!
Time for a cookout!  Finally cool enough!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Mom came over for Thanksgiving day!  What a fun fun fun day together!  No videos, no ipads, it was so fun!  We taught the kids to play Wa-hoo and Zane came out the champion!  Jeff also started working on his project on the driveway.  We've had the retaining wall bricks for awhile, but he was waiting for cooler weather and for once, maybe since I've lived in South Texas, we had a cool Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving morning!

Rachel and Dada were a team.  Here is Grandma D rolling!

All his marbles are home!!!

Watching Dada dig and try out a brick.

Here is a cute video of Rachel rolling the die.

Our Thanksgiving

With Dad's entrance into heaven earlier in November, our plans changed for Thanksgiving.  I wanted to stay with my mom, but I also thought that would be not as hard emotionally to do a non-traditional Thanksgiving.  We were all tired and didn't want to spend all day in the kitchen.  So, one day on the way to town, Mom got a spark in her voice and said, "What do you think about steaks?"  Well, we all love steaks, so steaks it was.  A little bit before lunch, the kids and Jeff were going to go on a Ranger ride, so I suggested we make sandwiches, grab Mom, and head up to the springs.  Everyone was excited for our picnic!  I don't believe I got a picture of Thanksgiving dinner, but it was a hit too and we all enjoyed it.

Tree limb in the "road."  There's our bulldozer!  :)

We all fit!

Eating a sandwich in the shade.

We even had a blanket!  How snuggly!

Little picnicers.

Our transportion.

Notice who is controlling the bag of cookies.  haha

I sure she just found a treasured rock!

My wonderful mama.

Black Friday was named appropriately enough.  We took a walk up the mountain, just me and mom.
A large tree-pinion?  Jeff now has a baby one in our nursery.

She really is wonderful.
We sang songs and prayed and cried with this view.

Love you dad!
