Picnicking in Febrary!

One of the reasons that south Texas is awesome...we had a beautiful day for a picnic today! We were gone all morning to the library and Walmart and Zane wanted to play outside, but by the time we got home, it was almost lunchtime! He had been so good and I hated to break his heart, so I let them play in the garage while I quickly made sandwiches, drinks, and crackers. Then, we ate outside and of course, they thought that was the best! :) And I did to because crumbs and juice were everywhere and Oh well! haha!

Library Day!

Rachel and Zane had a great time at the library today.  We are getting into a routine when we go and that makes it fun because at least Zane knows what to expect.  Rachel enjoyed toddler time so much!  She claps and smiles and crawls!  She loves the songs and the jumping and even shook her egg.  Zane is very nice to get two eggs-one for him and one for Rachey.  And Zane participated in that song too!  That was nice to see.

Trophy Catch!

We went back to Coleto Creek Saturday evening, had a boat ride, and Jeff found a shaded cove where Zane got to catch his first and second fish!  He is so proud that he caught two fish!  It was funny to watch him because I expected him to be all serious and concentrating on his fishing, but nope!  Jeff put a bobber on it and so while he waited he needed to get lots of drinks of water and then even as he was reeling a fish in, he had to point out some birds flying by and some boats passing.  It was too funny.

Rachel did great once again too!  We were really happy about that.  And she definitely does better in the boat when daddy is going fast!  Jeff says she's gonna want a convertible when she goes up!  And the top will definitely be down!
