May Flowers

We have been home for most of the month, except for one week when we went back to Leakey!  We've been enjoying being home though.  Except maybe Jeff because he's been working on our front door, which looks wonderful!  We finally finished school.  It was a weird ending for sure.  It didn't really feel like we were done because it's just been so different.  Then we had Memorial Day which was nice, except we really didn't do anything different, except that Jeff didn't have to work!

Our resident lizard that the kids like to catch.

This year I am growing cantaloupes in pots because the gophers like to eat the roots.  I feel like we are having great success.

Pretty bloom my cactus had.  It actually had two, but I missed one.

Reading Calvin and Hobbes.

Thanks Aunt Amanda for the goldfish.  What a treat.

Thanks Aunt Sherry and Addie for the Disneyworld souvenirs.

Show time!

Picnic time!

My pretty zinnias.

Near the end of school-using legos for subtraction regrouping.

I love this picture.

Back in Leakey, we went on a hike.
We saw some aoudad in the road.

The prickly pear cactus was blooming and they were so pretty!

Cool beetle Jeff saw.

Peaches are getting bigger.

I think these are the two baby buzzards we saw earlier this spring.

This girl can hold herself up like this for a long time.  I was impressed.

Rachel found this heart rock for me!

And then they both found a bunch of hearts.  :)

We went on a nature scavenger hunt and the kids loved it!

Bobcat track!

These were supposed to be a nature collecting thingie, but the kids used them as harps.  :)

Pretty bloom up in Leakey

Little birdie in the house.
Back in Victoria...

Last day of school!!!!!

New series she loves about ponies.

We had a "feast" according to Zane.  Chicken strips, french fries, home grown green beans, and mac and cheese.  Then we made homemade milkshakes to celebrate the end of school.

Pretty passion vine flower

My rock garden.

Daddy painting the front door!

Rachey likes having someone to chat too.

Pretty passion vine, but it's no longer because was taking over!

Another project.  Jeff made a threaded rod so he could hang my new chicken waterer.

Watermelon are growing.

New waterer and feeder.

The kids love basketball.
Rachel made 100 baskets in one day.  She must have shot 700 times!

She got her name written on the backboard.  Zane did it the next day!

Daddy is teaching them to play basketball.

Making a cake!
We listened to the gospel of John while in Leakey and made cool lapbooks.  Here is Rachel's.

Hope y'all have a good JUNE!  This year is moving along!!!
