Thinkery Fieldtrip!
Wow, I think our family's gone a little crazy with the fieldtrips! But it was fun and we are all glad we went! This morning we got up and ate little pancakes in the car on the way to AUSTIN!!! The kids were angels in the car! There and back!!! Woohoo!!!
Thinkery is a Children's Museum in Austin that is two floors and all about the kids! It is awesome! My favorite part was after lunch when we went back into Thinkery and the kids were all excited because they were confident and familiar with what was there. They were ready to play and open to trying new exhibits!!!
Farm market!
Getting groceries; fruits and veggies are important!
He loves weighing things in the store, so this was like a dream for him!
Up the ramp in the chicken coop!
Their favorite part was collecting eggs!!!
Gotta wash the veggies! And the banana.
The water room was so cool! Drums could be arranged under raindrops from above to make sounds, a handle could be turned to spin a wheel, buckets filled up and dumped, and you could also make a tornado in the water. So much to do for the kids. I even had to do some too!
back to the farmers market! You can tell because Zane is soaked!
brown eggs!
Rachel cooking in the kitchen!
Lunch across at the park. I think Jeff is telling Rachel, "Do not lay your sandwich on this table. It's dirty." hahahahaha
Zane could hardly eat, he wanted to play so badly.
It's Rachey!!!!
We went to a lake at the park and the kids got to see the ducks.
I do believe these ducks wanted some bread, but we were so hungry we ate it all!
Back in the museum! Rachel and Dada putting ping pong balls in tubes where they were blown by air through the tubes! Rachel loved it.
And Zane got to make airplanes and fly them with an air pressure cannon. Is that a thing? It was cool.
In the light room.
They liked it, but we didn't stay here too long.
I made an H, but Zane needed some reds.
Back to the water area! They had blue aprons and crocs for the kids. Zane finally put on an apron, but Rachel would not.
There goes Rachey!
Nobody was in the water area after lunch for awhile, so the kids just got to do whatever! Rachel loved filling the bucket and letting it splash down, at least for a few times. Then it was on to something else!
Outside in the Thinkery backyard!
I was so proud of Zane for climbing up to the top of this contraption!
A little bee in the hive!
He's way at the top!
Playing, playing, playing!
These pictures didn't turn out, but he's coming down.
There he is!
Zane jumping on the mounded blocks!
Riding the piggie on the way to the car. Happy, happy.
You will need/Have to go again and again.
