Garden Is Producing

I picked our third zucchini this morning!!!  And the house is smelling lovely because I baked zucchini bread!!! (Jeff's suggestion!)  It is tasty!  We've also picked about 6 yellow squash and a bunch of wonderful, tasty green beans!

I've never seen butternut squash growing, so I am so thrilled that we have at least five trying to grow.  They are the cutest things!
I will keep posting updates on these pretties!

I'd like to expand our garden this fall.  I'm thinking broccoli, carrots, and potatos.  Wouldn't that be so fun?  I think so.  What else should I try to grow?  One that I have learned is we don't need many plants of something because it's hard to keep up with what we have now!  I'm hoping our neighbors get home soon so I can give them a squash or two!  :) :) :)

  1. Oh I'm so jealous! My little pathetic tomato plants are so wind blown! Can't wait to see what yummy recipe you come up with for the butternut! EMP

  2. YUMMY!!! I love butternut--just roast them in the oven--oil, salt, pepper and a little rosemary--delicious!
