Splish Splash!

Splush!

Zane is 3!

Zane turned three years old yesterday!  Of course like everyone else says, I can't believe it.  Where has the time gone?  It just flew by!  He's such a wonderful boy and getting so big.  Haha, a funny thing.  He's been wanting to put his own toothpaste on his toothbrush and I told him he could do that when he was 3.  So we woke him up, sang happy birthday, he asked about his presents and then said I get to brush my teeth by myself, I'm three!  And he did that morning!  :)  Hopefully his teeth don't start rotting now.  :)

We are having a birthday party for him this weekend, but it is hard for a 3 year old to understand that we are just saying happy birthday to him but he has to wait until the weekend for his party.  So we decided to throw a spur of the moment party for him.  He was so excited!  We invited two families from church over and had a great time!  And the good thing is, we get to do it again this weekend!

Yep, still weed eating!

3 years old!!!!

Zane's first cake that I did while skyping with my sister!

There was way more blue in the m&m bag than the others!

Fun party!
Poor girl was stuck with sweet potatoes, peas/green beans, and cheerios.  No cake yet for her.  :)

Oh boy!!!!!  Three candles!!!

He blew out the first two right away.

And finally got the last! All by himself!

Thanks Grandma D for all the awesome stuff!  This is his cell phone.  :)

And Rachel loves the postits.

Opening a present!

Singing with friends!  He loved his songbook Grandma D!

He did great leading songs!
He also got a John Deere coin bank from Aunt Amanda, Uncle Andre and Elliot!  I didn't get a picture for some reason, but he loves it!  We got more money to put in it this morning.  :)

We are looking forward to this weekend!  More presents, more cake, more celebrating!!!!

Latest House Project

Dada gave Zane the choice:  tile the backdoor, or put use bricks for a new pad under the garbage cans.  And Zane chose the garbage can pad!  So, Daddy set to work on his project.  He cleared the leaves, scraped and leveled the dirt, and set to work fitting the bricks in.  He even got to use his tile saw to cut some bricks! Zane even got to stay up late because he wanted to see the job done.  He was one dirty and hungry boy when he finally came in.  But it looks great, works great, and I'm personally hoping that it cuts down on our frog population.  :)

Pretty cool setup!  Fan and umbrellas!

It's like worker luxury!

Our blooming crepe myrtles!

Our shrimp plant that's doing well.

More crepe myrtles

Up close.

Watching the worker.

Hi!

Eating an icee pop right before it started pouring rain.

He thought he could finish, but no, it started raining too hard.

Next time watching the workers.

Rachel's Been Busy!

Yesterday was a big day for our big girl!  She started pulling up, standing, and crawling on her knees!  She is doing great!  And it's so cute, because she thinks she can just pull up against a wall now!  She will figure it out now.  Compared to Zane, she definitely seems like she's going to be a climber, which Zane wasn't.  She already climbs over the rungs on the bottoms of our chairs.  It's so funny to watch.  Instead of going around the chair, she just goes right through underneath!  She has also started waving with her whole arm!  That is precious too!  I don't think I've gotten that on video, but I did get her first standing on video.  Jeff wanted me to come back to Zane's room and play with them and I decided that I would instead of getting supper ready, which ended up being late, but when I did, there she was standing!  And I would have missed it if I had been a Martha and tended to my business!  I am so proud of my sweet little girl.  She turns 10 months old today.  Neither of us can believe that she's almost one.  Talk about time flying.  We want her to stay little forever, but we are happy that she's getting big too.  Look for 10 month old pictures later!

She loves to take things out of my purse.  I have had to start zipping it shut.

Those eyes.

Found herself a little cave.  She also likes crawling under my desk.

First time standing!!!!!  Yay, Rachel!!!!

Our neighbor lady had some ladies over playing cards and these two, Rachel included, would wave to them as they left.  It was fun!
I did get a video of Rachel waving!  And this is Rachel standing up!

Rachel stands up again!

Rachel crawls on her knees on the hard floor, but on carpet she's still an inchworm!
Here she's scooting...

And here she's crawling on her knees! And just so you know, I was telling her 'no' because I didn't want her to get the plastic bag that held toilet paper. And she listened!

Here is the other day when she crawled under the chair.

This is another one that is labeled crawling under a chair, but it's not. And it's earlier in the week before she was crawling on her knees!

And more big news!  She has a tooth that has come through!  I can actually feel it!!!
