Christmas 2014

What a wonderful Christmas we had!  We went to Grandma Janie's and Grandada's house and were able to see lots of our family!  Great Grandma Louise even came all the way from Midland!  Christmas Eve we had traditional ham, scallopped potatoes, broccoli, corn, and bread with a delicious German chocolate cake for dessert.  Then we played a whistle game that is always fun.  Trying to get a bunch of people to play at their turn to make a song ends up being pretty funny.

Nothing better than 35 year old trucks that his daddy used to play with!

In her jammies with her crown ready for the whistle game.

There is always a song to be led! In the kitchen no less!

Uncle Dick and Miss Wild Hair!

Wonderful Mom with her boys!

Aunt Susan with Rachel in the holiday outfit she gave her!

Me and Louise!

Love them both!
The next morning/afternoon was present opening time!  We have mini quiches for whomever wants a little something for earlier breakfast and then we have a brunch break and have delicious things such as pigs in a blanket, Sticky Jeff, sausage breakfast casserole, apple coffee cake, and breakfast breads.  All are looked forward to and so delicious!  Our Christmas dinner was in the evening this year with smoked turkey, roasted turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie, and pecan pies.  We had lots of visiting time and it was soooooo much fun!

I love these three pictures of the creek.  It is so beautiful.
