I know now why tv is raising many of our kids in this country. It is easy, keeps them occupied, and you can have some peace and quiet! Zane is almost 2 1/2 years old and I can only remember him watching tv maybe twice. One was an old black and white show and the other a turkey decoy demonstration. We both felt it better that he didn't watch it and learned to play without it. Well, with us not feeling good, we decided that he could watch a dvd that came with the toddler Bible he has. I thought it was pretty good. It's animated figures with music in the background. He loves it. And frankly, we do too for the above reasons! :) Funny thing, not really funny, but an ohhhhh moment that makes me want to hug and protect him is that he is scared of Goliath and has Daddy skip it. He loves David and Goliath in all his Bible stories and we have read them over and over again, but when the character is animated, it scares him. That's okay. Daddy is happy to skip it for him and go on to Jesus. :)

What shows/dvds would you recommend for our toddler?
I know what you mean! Andre and Elliot watch YouTube videos of the ABC train, shapes and numbers. They watch too much in my opinion, but I am just Mommy....and suddenly the ears do not work. Grrr...
