Our Saturday

Friday the phone rang, "ring, ring, ring, ring"...it was Uncle Dick!  "Can I come and help you work on the house?"  YES!!!  So Saturday morning, he drove down to help Jeff put the base board trim on!!!  Jeff said it took maybe a 1/4 of the time that it would have taken him if he had done it by himself.  They put almost 500 feet down!  Hurray!

In the morning, Zane and I went to the church building to clean out his bible classroom!  But before we did, we stopped by the new house to see Dada's new trailer!

Getting even bigger if that's possible!

I think we got it all done in the classroom.  Lots of trash thrown away-for all you teacher, you know it's hard to throw that shoe box lid away, but it's probably the best thing to do!  :)  We also cleaned out a bunch of expired snacks.  Away with you!!  Zane enjoyed playing with everything and after we were done, we got to meet Jeff and UD at Jim's Big Burger!  It was fun!

After that, Zane and I headed to Walmart to get the makings for meatloaf to feed the hard workers for supper.  I just love my Walmart!  They have the friendliest and nicest cashiers ever.  I was digging through a clearance bin of shoes trying to find a pair the next size up for Zane and took it up to the lady in the garden dept to see how much it was!  She scanned it and said 9.00, but then she said, "oh we didn't get them all marked down, it should be 5.00!"  So, she marked it down to 5!  We also had a chat with a really nice cashier in the self checkout line that told Jeff all about the self checkout station while I was checking out.  They are just so nice!  ...Or maybe I'm just starved for adult conversation!  LOL!!!
Size 8 ready to go!

On the way to put the cart up, I told Zane it was his naptime and he was going to rest when we got home.  "Nope," he said.  That little fellow didn't even make it the three minutes home!  He was sound asleep!  I carried him sleeping while I brought in the groceries, he even slept through a diaper change, which never happens, and he just barely stirred when I laid him in his crib!  He then slept 3 hours!
He's a big boy...

But he's still my baby.

We enjoyed seeing UD and especially Zane.  He couldn't quit talking about Uncle Dick.  After his nap, we got to go for a few minutes in the afternoon and brought the hard workers some freshly baked cookies.  Zane said cookies for "Uncle Dick, Dada...and Zane."  Yes, you can have one too, Zane.  He enjoyed that treat.
Cool corner pieces.
UD manning the saw!
The cabinet man had put in the drawers!  Soft close!

Dada wanted to measure Zane's cookie-nope!!!

All set with his water and his cookie.

There's the base board team!!!

Looks spiffy, I'd say!
