2...1...2...3!!

Zane is learning to count.  We were surprised the other day when I held up my fingers and he could count up to three.  He usually starts out at two though, his favorite number!



Jeff blew up an air mattress the other day to see if it would hold air, and Zane really really liked it.  The reason that he doesn't have pants on in one video is because Jeff was trying to see if he could get him to slide easier.

Worker Bees

Boy, have I got the workers in my house!  Jeff worked in his spare time yesterday on raking out the old mulch and putting in new.  He did such a great job and it looks fantastic!  Zane and I went and helped out too, although I think Zane did more than I did!  He got to use his new garden tools from Christmas.  Thanks Mary Beth for giving them to him so he could "dig, dig!"  It was so fun to watch him imitate Daddy.  Everything Jeff did, Zane tried to do!

Grandma's Visit

Grandma D got to come and visit Zane for a couple of days and boy did we have fun.  Mom brought my old Bible for Zane and he would carry it around and lead singing and preach and it was so sweet and hilarious.  I love seeing Zane warm up to people he's familiar with more quickly.  It's so nice he has great grandparents!!!  Thanks for coming, Mom!

Worlds Apart but on the Same Page

I got a picture the other day of my cute and so sweet nephew playing in his Daddy's shoes.  The neat thing is that Zane has been doing the same thing!  He walks around in my slippers, in his daddy's flip flops outside, and my other shoes.  I think it's so amazing that even though these cousins live on different continents, they are doing the same things!

Learning!

Zane got a cool leap frog junior from Uncle T that he has become very interested in playing with.  He knows how to turn it on and off, play with the volume and use it so that it reads aloud.  It didn't take him long to figure out that, at all.  Last night, he and Daddy had a great time with the ABC flashcards.



Thanks, Uncle T, it's a really cool thing and Zane loves it!

Misc.

Zane got his first Valentine on Sunday from a little girl in his Bible class!  It was so sweet.  It said, "You are my main squeeze!, <3 Madelyn"  And it was a little juice puree in a container that the child just squeezes into their mouth.  I've never bought them before, so I was unsure if Zane would know how to use it, but it tasted good and because of that, it didn't take him long!

Today, Zane and I went to the doctor's office and heard his little brother or sister's heartbeat!  It was a wonderful sound and the doc said it sounded great!  Zane was such a good boy through the whole thing; I was so grateful.

I've hit the 12 week mark!  I am soooooo thankful.  For the first time in a long time, I haven't felt like I was going to die!!!!  My stomach is more settled, I have more energy, and my mood has improved!  I am so glad! 

I'm Happy!

Just the other day, we were listening to a cd of Zane's and he started stomping his feet with the words!  It is so surprising to see him to new things.  Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We started Valentine's Day early when Zane brought this valentine home from the library!  We had a great time making it-we coincidently met up with some church friends and it was great to share story time with them.  It was their first time going and I think one of these weeks we're going to go to Chick-fil-a with them afterward.  That is something to look forward to!

I love you Daddy!  You are the best Daddy in the whole world!

Today, poor Jeff had to drive all to Brownsville.  And so I decided to invite Grandma Janie for a spur of the moment visit.  She came fast as she could and we had a great day!  We went to the park and had a picnic and then played on a playground and then went to visit the zoo!  It was a great day!  After that, I rested and she played with Zane!  I think it was a win for everybody!

Zane started asking for his milk and without me knowing it, got up in his Daddy's chair all by himself!  I got a video of it!

Uncle T Comes to Visit!

We had a great visit from Zane's Uncle T yesterday!  Zane is usually so loud, but when Travis came, he wouldn't say a word.  That lasted maybe 5 minutes.  Then, he got over his bashfulness and got to play and show off his running skills for Uncle T!  He also gave him hugs!  He really loved playing with him and on the way to bible class last night he said "T!"  "Bye, bye!"  He also asked for him this morning when he got up!  I think it's really neat that Zane is remembering people.

Cream

Zane watches and repeats everything we say and a lot of what we do.  For a while now, he has been shaving, just like Daddy, with "cream!"  He loves, loves, loves to go and watch Daddy shave and he likes to put on his own "cream" in the bathtub.  Yesterday, he also started eating his cream, even though he hasn't seen us do that!  :)









Zane also has found his nose.  He likes saying nose and the other day when I got him up, it sounded like he was saying run, or nose, I can't remember which and was pointing to something.  I had no idea what he was talking about but just followed where it was pointing and turns out he wanted a kleenx and wiped his nose!  :)  I guess he had a runny nose!

A special Happy Birthday to my wonderful Mama, on her very special day!  I love you Mama!!!
