What a fun time it was yesterday as we celebrated Zane turning one year old!! He had a Very Hungry Caterpillar party! (It's a children's book by Eric Carle, for those who aren't familiar.)
We started off with meatball subs, and deli meat subs, fruit, chips, and drinks. Then, we had cake and ice cream! Zane was showered in birthday gifts and love. It was so enjoyable having the family over to help him celebrate.

The cake! It was so fun to make and Zane loved eating his smash cake! I don't think he's ever tasted anything so sweet and soft! He was sticking his fingers in his mouth and licking them off. And he was a mess! :) We had fun watching him!

We are blessed with so many loving people in Zane's life. At the end of the Very Hungry Caterpillar book, the caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly. These people are helping him turn into that butterfly!
