Today my family and I went day camping! We've talked about going tent
camping, but when it comes down to it, I chicken out. So, today we
packed up and spent a lot of the day down the road in Goliad State
Park. It was great! I thought they would be busy, but they weren't at
all. The park rangers were so friendly and the hiking paths and picnic
area were great! We had a great time cooking hamburgers, watching Zane, and throwing the frisbee. I also got to learn a lot about Texas history. Goliad
had the largest number of people killed for the cause of Texas
Independence, hence the famous phrase, "Remember Goliad! Remember the
Alamo!"
