Happy June!

We had such a great morning outside at the beginning of the month.  I was going to post pictures then, but for some reason, it's a week later.  I guess things happen!  Anyway, I am so proud of Zane because he started picking up slugs!  Give that boy enough time and he will do things on his own.  Not that he needed to pick up slugs, but isn't that what boys do?  He's also getting experience on picking up frogs or toads at the church building with his friends after church.  And crickets.  I don't think he's actually done it yet, but give him time!  :)

So many muddy puddles lately!  The grass needs to be mowed!!! It's a jungle out there...

Loves filling up the water table with the hose.

Our green bean picking one day

Decorating the red trailer with chalk.

She also decorated her boots.

Slug

I like how their heads are together observing.

Pretty butterfly.

We went on a slug hunt and found two more!

For some reason I was really happy about them being interested in the slug and took a bunch of videos.

:)  They love riding Big Wheels.

Probably checking the air in their tires.
 Another day...
Off they go!

Good bubble blower.
Yesterday between services...be still my heart.
Zane reading a second book to Rachel!
 And this morning
I don't think this butternut is totally ripe, but the vine to it was shredded.  So it got picked!

Dumping water in the sandbox.

Just one more, Mom.

End of May Daily Happenings

Our days still involve water play outside.  Here Rachel and Zane are washing their big wheels.

My little guy still likes to snuggle!  He's not actually asleep.  :)  He's getting really big.
We were given free ads from the news paper and Zane and Rachel enjoyed looking at the Lowe's ad.  Who needs a toy catalog?  Not us!
 Checking out the lawnmowers!
We have a big picture window in our kitchen dining area and when it rains, we raise the blinds to the top and have a "show."  The kids love it and we do too.
A big storm happened while we were having our ice cream night on Saturday!

Everybody has a good seat watching God's show!

End of the storm and clear skies behind!
We played in Zane's room one day this week.  They are busy bodies.

Playing night-night.  Each snuggle session lasted about .5 seconds.

Didn't last long!  But maybe someday they can camp like this!
And Daddy made a fort for the kids on Monday.  It was a big hit for a little while!

And later that afternoon we went outside for some fun!

I didn't think my little sweetie minded the grass barefoot...she didn't the other day, but here she is refusing to put her feet down!  She held herself up like that for a long time!
Oh, that's much better.
:)
Then we moved the concrete to play in the hose!  They sure squeal and love it!

Washing hands and it was bright...I had asked them to smile.
Soaked!
I made Jeff one of his favorite pies today.  I was happy to do it, but with little helpers, it takes awhile!  I finally let Zane play in the leftover flour and Rachel got in on the action by playing with the flour that Zane had dropped!

Lemon Chess!
And finally, here is tonight with Daddy playing "night night!"

And some videos:

Swinging

I took lots of pictures of Zane swinging on Saturday.  And in the videos I keep saying how big his smile is...because it really was!  He's been sick for several weeks and it was nice to see him smile so big.  Thanks, Dada, for making a swing for the kids!  It's nice to see him enjoying it.

Outside

It was a pretty day outside yesterday.

I think these pumpkin blooms are just so pretty.  They sure don't last long.

Zane's plants are looking pretty scrawny, but they are trying to bloom!

Eyeing a slug.  I told him he could pick it up if he wanted to and he wanted me to!  Ummm, okay.  I didn't exactly, but I let it crawl over my finger.  Maybe that counted to him?  I hope so.

Unbelievable!  Another plant came up after recent rains!
