Christmas Cookies

I really really like baking during the holiday season!  It's so fun and it's usually stuff that you only make once a year!  I got in the mood yesterday and tried a new recipe.  Actually, I got the idea from one site for Chocolate Peppermint Cookies, but didn't have the refrigerated dough that they required, so I looked up some that I could make from scratch.  I found this recipe, and used the frosting from the chocolate peppermint cookies.

Chewy Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies
Chocolate Frosting

I made the chewy double chocolate peppermint cookies in mini form, put a marshmellow on top, baked it an additional minute, cooled them and then frosted them.  Then, a certain 1 year old, added the sprinkles on top with my help!  It resulted with chocolate frosting on my pants and on him, and then he wanted to eat one sooo bad, so after we were done, I gave him one of the frosted ones.  After that, he got a bath!

Zane hasn't learned that it's not polite to stare.  :)  But that's okay, because he's little.  We were going to go on a walk earlier this week when it was still really nice outside, but we couldn't because Zane wanted to watch the men that were mowing the neighbor's house across the street!  So, instead of trying to get him to walk, I just gave in and sat in the driveway while he stared intently at the workers.  It was pretty funny because he was zoned in on them.  He is very interested in mowing, edging, and blowing.

We stayed outside until Daddy came home and Zane got to sit in the car!  He enjoyed that a lot!

Fun Ladies Luncheon!

Today we had another Mother's luncheon and it was so much fun to sit and visit with other moms.  I love getting to know these women more and Zane has a good time playing with his friends.  I took just a couple pictures.

Saturday

We had a gorgeous day on Saturday and decided to go to the park and play tennis.  So, seven minutes later, we were in the car and on our way!  Zane had a great time running back and forth trying to catch his Daddy on the tennis court.  After we hit almost all the balls over the fence, we took off to the playground!
