Baby Girl's Pinwheel Quilt

I finished my little girl's quilt this morning.  I am happy with how it turned out.  Definitely has it's flaws, but maybe she won't notice.  ;)

I started using a pattern online found here, but made some changes.  First, I made it larger-more blocks than they had, and second, I added sashing between the blocks.  It is a great tutorial though if you are interested in making your own pinwheel quilt.  And it's really easy!

Here are some pictures:

Baby girl's new quilt!

Pink Chevron print for the backing.

The border is framed with praire points.  Jeff calls them "pretty points."  :)

I tried to put hearts in my stippling.  Some turned out good...

...some not so good.  :)

Here I am this evening at 23 weeks pregnant with our baby girl!  Only 16 weeks to go!  She is moving a lot and Jeff has gotten to feel her kick!

Pink cuteness!

I got to go to my first garage sale for our little girl today and came away with some really cute clothes!!!  It was almost startling to see them sitting on the dryer all clean when we came home.  Jeff isn't use to the thought either.  I think he got a little nervous, but he's going to be a great dad to a little girl.  :)  I looked for Zane some things, but no luck.  Maybe next sale!
Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!  So exciting!!!

It's a...

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WHAT??!!  I couldn't believe it either.  :-)  We are just thrilled!!!  The ultrasound was amazing.  We could see everything about her and she looked so perfect.  We could see the four chambers of her heart and the valves pumping, we could see blood flow, her stomach, kidneys, brain, spine, fingers and toes!!!  Her heartbeat was about 158 bpm and she weighed 12 ounces!  She is a beauty!

She has two feet!  Thankful!

Thumbs up!  I'm doing a-ok in here!
