Sewing Project

I am attending a baby shower on Saturday and needed a gift.  I wanted to make something, but didn't know what to do besides bibs or a blanket.  I searched online and found this site that had a cool looking diaper changing pad/play mat.  I decided to give it a try.  It is pretty easy and this person did a great job on their tutorial.  I like it because it has four different sections when you are finished that can hold diapers, wipes, or whatever else you need.
All folded up.  I'm not sure about the elastic band I made.  It sort of looks like a hair scrunchy.  :)

Unfolded.
There is another girl at church that is going to have a baby girl, so I think I might see if I have enough fabric in my stash to make her one also.

This was my little buddy today.  He was sick with a fever.  I hope he feels much better tomorrow.
He needed lots of cuddles which we were happy to give.

Learning Psalm 23

Zane is learning Psalm 23 and tonight I was able to get most of it on video during his devo.  It is amazing what he can learn at this age and it is exciting to know he's learning God's Word.  We pray that he will grow up to be one of God's little children.

Playing in the Water

We've been out on the patio the last few days.  Here is one particular day.  Enjoy!

Zane seemed to be wanting to hook his wagon up to his scooter, so I tied them together.  He had fun for a time but would get frustrated when turning a corner and the wagon wouldn't be straight, so at this time they are once again separated.  But, here are two videos of when they were together.

Our Week

We've been having a great week at our house.  Zane's got lots of playing in, we got to go to the library, and Dada's been home every night!

After church Wednesday nights, Zane has gotten old enough to play with the big boys!  It was different for me trying to carry on a conversation with another mom and trying to keep an eye on him!
Another practice singing session after church!

Playing with the big kids!

He had lots of bigger kids watching out for him.  :)
Jeff was given a cap from his parents, which Zane has latched on to and taken for his own!

He also got to eat his first sloppy jo this week!  (I think!)  :)  He loved it and ate the whole thing.

We stopped by the new house today to play with the big wheel, but the mosquitos were so bad we didn't even stay 5 minutes!  I saw one of my rose bushes blooming and hadn't seen it yet, so I put Zane in the car with the air conditioner blasting and took a quick picture.  It's a really pretty bloom.
I can't wait to see it in a few days.  There are many buds on it.

Other pretty flowers.

Such a handsome boy.

Catch-up on Zane!

Zane is now 23 months old.  The count down is on for when he goes to his big boy bible class down the hall!  At least in my mind it is.  Just four more Sundays!  He is ready though.  I'm just not sure how he will react to unfamiliar things.  I guess it will just take him time to get used to it.

His vocabulary is just expanding every day.  He is very good at saying words like medicine, power washer, chain saw, coffee maker, just lots of big words.  He also sings and sings and sings.  He can sing parts of the ABC song.  I'm not sure if I can get it on video because he's into seeing what I'm videoing nowadays, but I will try soon.  I can also recognize "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

We have definitely entered a new phase.  He's NOT terrible, but he's definitely trying out new things!  He has been told multiple times not to touch the cd player, etc but he decided that he would try out using his elbows and seeing how that would work.  I told my in-laws and Jeff about it and come to found out, I actually have a video of it!  He found my Santa hat in his toy box and was trying it on when this happened.  It's very interesting how his mind works.  I'd say we are in for some big adventures when it comes to him!

A daddy and a little buddy.

Hi!  I love this face.

Very intent looking at something.  Maybe a bird.  Or maybe he hears a barumba.

Chillin in the chair.

Christmas in....May!

First time in front of the pulpit!  Preacher man Clay picked Zane up after services and sang Jesus Loves Me with him.  Zane loved it.
I have more videos to upload.  Stay tuned!
