We brought home four baby chicks last week. They are living in a box in the barn right now until the chicken palace gets finished. We sort of put the chickens before the coop! haha Anyway, my hope is that we will have fresh eggs in about 18 weeks. That seems like a long time, but hopefully it will be worth it and we will have fun with them along the way.
Created for family and friends since we are scattered so far apart, but still remain close at heart!

Fredericksburg Weekend Getaway
Whoa! Jeff and I took a weekend trip all by ourselves!!!! Grandma Janie and Grandada took excellent care of the kiddies and everyone had fun all the way around!
We stayed in a bed and breakfast where they had it set up like an old western town. We got to stay in a peanut silo! It was really cool! The bottom floor had a half bath, couch, tv, small kitchen, and electric fireplace, then a spiral staircase going up to a full bathroom and bed. And it had a working pulley that Jeff used to lower our suitcases when we were leaving! It was pretty neat.
We got to go kayaking on the Pedernales River, did lots of shopping on Main street, went to the Wildseed Farm, and went to a wonderful small congregation in Wimberly on the way home. We also ate homemade ice cream in cones that was so good. I got cookie dough and cookies and cream, and Jeff got snickerdoodle ice cream both times.
Here are some pictures of our fun weekend!

Some of the river was too shallow to get across! So I got a lift! :) |
