Look what Zane did! He filled up his potty chart, f-i-n-a-l-l-y!!!!! We celebrated with a trip to Petsmart and Sonic!!!
His new chart has a red tractor with a plow and he has already informed me that on his NEXT one he wants a BLUE tractor with a disc. :)
Created for family and friends since we are scattered so far apart, but still remain close at heart!

Easter Egg Hunt!
It is definitely fun seeing my children have fun hunting Easter eggs. I just realized that I forgot to dye eggs with them! Hah! Oops! I guess we will try to do that next year! Anyway, we went to a family devotional on Saturday at some church member's home and they got to play, eat pizza, sing and do a devo. I was proud of Zane because the boys got to take turns standing and leading a song and he was really eager to do it. Next time, I'm going to see if he can choose his own song before we get there and then we'll be a little more prepared. But he led, "We will Glorify the King of Kings" and did great. After that, the little kids got a 5 second head start ahead of the big kids for hunting eggs and they were off! Rachel had to be told one time what to do and that was it. Zane just took off!
Here is our second egg hunt on Sunday!
Doing what he does best! |
Pizza like a big girl! She looked uncomfortable so I moved her to another type of chair after this. |
Wishing he could play instead of sit and eat pizza. :) But he got it down! |
Didn't take her long! She got the hang of it quick! |
Checking for treats! |
Nother egg! |
Quite the haul! |
With my cuties! |
I don't think this was my best decision as a parent- (it was electric), but he got off all in one piece, so whew. |

She was picking up eggs so fast one time she didn't look and it didn't make it into the basket! |

Fun Friday
This morning I went to a Children's Discovery Museum event with Zane and Rachel. The Discovery Museum has been closed for sometime while they get ready at their new location, but they have a weekly event at a local business and this time I decided that it would be fun to participate. There was a man there that gave us a crash course in CPR and first aid. I had no idea, but as of four years ago, someone decided it was best not to do the ventilation part of CPR. Who knew? Only compressions are supposed to be done. That seems alot easier to me. Hopefully I'll never have to do it, but it was very helpful. Also, I learned when you have a child choking, you are not supposed to sweep your mouth with their finger because alot of times it can push the food down farther, or cause severe bleeding on the vocal cords on a baby if you attempt to get the food out with your fingernail. Maybe someday I will take an actual course because it certainly would be very helpful.
Zane had such a hard time when we first went in there. Rachel was perfectly at ease. They are soooooo different! Zane was finally comfortable and participated and so I was very glad I stuck it out and didn't leave like I wanted to. He was fine actually until it was time to leave and then that was another difficulty. I don't know if it was because he didn't want to go or because he was going to have to walk by people in a crowded area that he didn't know. Either way, I ended up having both of them on my hips and boy that is a load, let me tell you. I am still glad we went.
I got some good video and pictures and you would never know Zane had any trouble!
Enjoy!

Rachel did great too and liked to pet them too! |
This is the smile that makes the effort worth it!!!!!! |
Off they go back to the wind tunnel! |
Zane loves working with glue sticks! |

Bluebonnets 2016!
Grandma D came to visit and after our visit to the library, I took her for the first time to the gardens in hopes that the bluebonnets would be blooming. And we were in luck! It was very windy, but that was probably good because it kept the mosquitoes away. Also, it was not too hot, in the low 70s. So we had a terrific time!
They had a new butterfly exhibit that we got to check out for the first time!
The winner!!! |
Wrangling grandkids! |
Same eyes. |
With my pretty mama. |
Aren't the flowers pretty? haha! She felt better after a good cry. And a nap. |
