Father's Day
I think Jeff had a terrific Father's Day! Most of the presents ended up being food though! Haha! He didn't seem to mind though! And he actually got to read and take a nap in the afternoon!

Miss Rachel
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel. She is just such a fun girl in a fun stage. She can now sit up all by herself and for the past three days has gotten really really good at it. So good, in fact, that she can crawl into the bathroom, sit up, and open up the cabinet. She can also open drawers, dig in bins, and get her own toys out. It is very interesting! She loves being under the dining room table. She just scoot, scoot, scoots in there from the living room. She also loves the tile floor and smacks it with her hand over and over when she gets on it. I think she might like the coolness. She also has discovered playing with pans. She hasn't gotten them out of the cabinet yet, but she plays with them in the little play area in the dining room. She loves them and all the noise that moving them on the floor brings.
Here is a video-a long video-of Rachel and Zane playing. She does sit up eventually, so hang in there if you want to see it.

Kids Misc.
Guess what???????
Rachel is talking!!! Last week she started saying, Mamamamamamamama.
This week, I didn't believe it, but it's true. She says, "Amen" at the end of a prayer. No joke! The first time I was startled, the second time I was like, I think that's what she's saying and the third time right before the prayer I said, "Let's see if she says, Amen." And she did!!! Totally amazing!!! I'm going to try to get a recording of it. It's way cute.---(I wrote this post a couple days ago, and guess what? She doesn't say it anymore! hahaha!)
Here is a video of Zane singing. Anybody want to go to Camon's Land?
This morning Zane said a great prayer. I was so proud. I'm trying to remember it exactly, but that's probably impossible. My memory seems to be fuzzy lately. "Dear God. Hallowed be Your name. Thank you for the sun; thank you for our family; thank you for our breakfast. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen!"

Jeff's Birthday Weekend!
We went to the Houston area this last weekend and picked all the blueberries we could!!! It was the perfect day-we got rained on so it was cooler, and everybody had a great time! We also got to celebrate Jeff's birthday!
We really did have such a wonderful time. It is a great place to take the whole family. The grandparents left to go pay and sit down and Jeff and I were debating on whether we should keep picking or not. We decided that since everyone was happy we would end on a positive note! :) We picked 14 pounds together!
For Jeff's Birthday we went to a mexican restaurent chain, Chuy's! It was great! Our waitress was really nice, the kids were great and it was loud, so I was able to relax without worrying about the kids disrupting others! Jeff even got free birthday dessert which he shared! After this, we went home and had happy birthday cake and presents. :)
I hope you had a wonderful birthday, Jeff and have many more birthdays to come! I'm so happy that I can share your celebrations with you! I love you!
Talking all the way to Kingwood! |
Got the kids up EARLY and got there about 7 am! |
Off we go to find some blueberries! |
Ready to pick! |
Under an umbrella and blanket sheltered from the rain! |
This guy is so awesome! He brought umbrellas, blankets, toys-everything we needed to have an enjoyable morning. And then he entertained Rachel while I picked some!! |
Filling our bucket! |
Zane would pick a blueberry... |
And then he would eat it!!! |
She needed cuddles and sleep. |
Doesn't look comfy to me, but she liked it pretty good and got a good nap. |
1/2 pound!! |
Love them! Resting after picking 12 pounds! |
Family photo! |
Cooing at each other. :) :) :) |
Drying our blueberries since they got wet from the rain. |
Zane's blueberries! Doesn't look like it, but it was about 2 cups! (He had help, because as you could see, he ate most of the ones he picked. Probably 1/2 pound!) |
Yummy! |

Summer Splashing
Last week we enjoyed our staycation and we got out the kiddie pool! I was happy because Zane wore his swimming trunks which was a big deal since he had been refusing to wear shorts! Rachel enjoyed her time in the pool as well. She loved splashing, but didn't like getting splashed in the face. She'd practically crawl up my legs to be picked up! We had a fun time. It's amazing how putting your feet in water cools you off on a hot day!
Girl time shopping!!! Rachel is so happy to be sitting in the basket! |
First time in the swimming pool! |
Hot summer days need icee pops! |
With my little sweetie!!! |
Here comes Zane! |
Cheese! |
Daddy's turn for pictures! |

My baby. So tired after a big day I had to wake him up! |
I'll love you forever and ever Zane! |

Family Visit
Uncle T surprised us with a visit today! Zane got to play in his truck, show him his new bed, eat supper with him, and play some more! It's neat to see Zane building relationships with people in his family. Thanks for coming, Travis! Come back and visit soon!
Finally relaxing like he wanted too! |
Rachel loves bottles. |
Admiring his flipflops. (Zane, not Jeff. :)) |
Sooo happy to get to drive! |
I bet these brothers didn't think they'd be doing this seven years ago!! |
Uncle T with his niece! |
Story time! |
