Fieldtrip!

When Zane is about 8 or 9, he won't think a trip to Petsmart is a big deal, but he did today!  :)  We got to look at lots of fish, see some cats (meow!), and watch doggies being groomed through a window!  We thought it was very interesting!  Thankfully, Zane liked to look at the $119.00 tortoise, but didn't want to buy it.  :)

So interested in the fish.  I think he liked them best!

Shoe Bench

Jeff came in yesterday from the garage and said that he decided he was going to make a bench for the laundry room where we could sit and put on our shoes!  This was great news!  So, off he went and I heard lots of sawing, etc.  I never knew that when I married him, that I had married such a good wood worker! 

The best part of the bench is that it has a seat for Zane!  And Zane loves it!

Zane and the Roly Poly

Crash!

Zane went head first over the side of the couch yesterday while we were both sitting there.  He hit a basket which scratched up his little face, but he is okay!

Zane with to the ZOO: Part 2

 A cold front was starting to come through when we got to the zoo, so we put on an extra shirt, and in the middle of our visit, Zane was changed from his cute vest, to his sweatshirt.  The wind was blowing pretty good, but it was still pleasant.  We made our way to the reptile exhibit where Grandma had to be especially brave because her fear of snakes may be the worst I've ever known.  She did great though and it was nice and warm in the exhibit.  They had a den of rattlesnakes, and you could actually crawl in a small tunnel and then sit/crouch up in a bubble so it would be like you were face to face with a rattlesnake.  Zane may choose to do that some day, but we didn't have any desire for it!

The monkeys were amazing to watch.  They are so agile and funny.  We all really enjoyed watching them.

Ooey Gooey Mess

I tried to make Jeff a Boston Creme Pie for his welcome home dessert.  We may be eating it with a spoon!
