Zane got to go on his very first fieldtrip/camping trip with Trail Life two weekends ago. He and Dad went to the USS Lexington and he loved it! They got to spend the night on it! He loved flying in the aircrafts and working the guns on the deck. Pretty cool stuff for a six year old and even if you're not six!
We all worked together to bring wonderful mulch from our neighbor's compost pile and extended our garden! We've had some cold weather, but hopefully we can finish planting soon!
My Sweetheart!

Getting a dirt bath. Must feel good. I'll leave it to them. :)
I believe this is the rebel alliance!
Beautiful purple mountain laurel blooms!
Their smell might be my favorite. That and loquats. I like them both.
Such good swingers!
He wanted to bake!
Mom!! Take my picture!
You can't really see them but our yard had alot of pretty purple wildflowers in it.
Playing a reading game!
Making apple pie for the family!
Skunk craft!
She has really gotten into climbing trees!
Zane and Jeff got to go on an awesome field trip to the USS Lexington in Corpus. They were packing and had a stowaway!
A boy's toy for sure!
One things for sure. Every picture I sent I could see Zane was so happy. He enjoyed it all.
He loved his sleeping bag and got to stay up late!
Holding up a missile. (I think)
While the boys were off on their adventure, we had to go do some fun things too. Here we are at the Victoria Educational Garden, and we had to take a picture on every bench.
Lunch at the park. It was very windy and a little chilly. She made lunch a drive by. She came by and ate, then played and so on.
All three working on the weeds. :)
We worked on a Star Wars puzzle! She did great!
My pretty peach blooms!
Making zucchini muffins.
Zane wanted to make banana muffins so we waited until he got home for that. As you can imagine, we had to have one of each variety on our plate the next morning. :)
Ugh, we got in an accident a week ago. Thankfully, the car behind us was trying hard to brake, but didn't make it in time. I say thankfully, because they could have hit us much harder. I knew immediately that the kids were okay. They were scared-especially Rachel, but both did great. It was raining and we didn't have to go to the hospital or anything or even get out of the car. The paramedics, firefighters and police officer were so kind. It was my first wreck behind the wheel and first time ever calling 911. The 911 operator was extremely nice and helpful too. The lesson for me was that you never know what's going to happen and to just be as prepared as you can be. You can do everything you can to be careful, but you just don't know. Thank you God we were alright. The paramedic said that you can replace things but you can't replace us. So true.
Jeff rigged up the trailor lights so we would have a light. Thank you Jeff!
Jeff came and sat with us and took this picture.
I thought her hair was pretty.
Sunglasses found in our rental suv when we got it.
What a beautiful month this has been so far. We've had a little cold weather, but it never seems to last long. We have had a ton of rain lately. It's rained almost every day except for the last couple days. I know it's going to be a wonderful spring! The purple mountain laurels are starting to bloom and the peach trees too.
Zane and Rachel are doing great. I need to find Rachel some new pants because she has started tugging hers down because they are getting too short! She wants to also get her hair cut "up to HERE" pointing to her neck-like yours! I can't do it! She will get a haircut tomorrow, but not up to her neck! It's almost to her bottom so she has some to spare. And if I cut it up to her neck, how would I contain it!?! :)
Last weekend we went to a belated birthday celebration for Grandada! It was cold and rainy on Saturday, but Sunday after worship, we had a great day outside!
Grandada having a "read aloud" with Zane. Zane loved it!
Legos, and more legos this weekend. Gotta keep them busy somehow on a rainy day!
Cuddles and tickles with Grandada!
Crafts with Grandma Janie!
I always try to take a picture of the kids for Valentine's day. There were a couple funny ones in the process...
Over here Zane...but....

My littlest sweetie!!!
This was the end result.
I thought of buying donuts for a Valentine's day treat, but decided to go the extra mile for all my sweeties. And Rachel was happy to help!
Making orange rolls!!!! I haven't made them in a long time and they turned out really good! Although Rachey does not care for them. :)
And making regular cinnamon rolls!!!

She loves to swing!
Two of my Valentine's!
One of my favorite pictures! <3
I was totally not expecting a gift! I mean, I told Jeff not to! haha. I guess he didn't listen! It is a beautiful orchid!
Jeff had to go to work at 4 am this morning which is sooo early, but that means that he gets off in time to come home and eat a grilled cheese sandwich! And he had the great idea to pick Zane up from school with the bikes! It was a great afternoon at the park riding bikes! And we finished with a little playing at the playground. The kids were just so excited to get to play-they grabbed each others hands with glee and off they went! :)
After our bike ride, Jeff and the kids had a project fixing one of Zane's drawers. Here Jeff is getting advice from the kids. haha. Just kidding. :) :) :)
It is cold in most of the country, but it is rainy and warm here. I have flowers blooming and seeds coming up! It may get cold yet, but I will just have to cover them if it gets close to freezing.
Mom came down for Ladies day with the church women and for her birthday! We are glad we could celebrate with her!
500 piece puzzle, here we come!
Our prettiest daffodil right now. I can't wait to see more bloom!
